Lindor, considered one of baseball’s top shortstop prospects, discussed mentoring he has received from fellow Puerto Ricans Mike Aviles and manager Edwin Rodriguez.  Aviles, who played with Lindor on the Puerto Rican national team at the WBC, has maintained communication with the rising star, according to the report.  “He always tells me how the game is played. He’s a very helpful, very open-minded guy.”

Lindor was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 1st round (8th) of the 2011 MLB June Amateur Draft from Montverde HS (Montverde, FL).
